News - Liverpool is starting to offer new long-term contracts to its stars, the first being Firmino
Liverpool will offer a new long-term contract to Roberto Firmino, with whom he will try to keep the Brazilian at Anfield for the rest of his career. The current contract of the 26-year-old striker expires in 2020, but Merseyside seeks to significantly increase its duration. According to Telegraph, some of the money that the club will receive from Philippe Coettinho`s large-scale transfer will be used to improve and extend the contracts of key players. Although he has just had to part with one of his great stars, Jurgen Klop believes that this is an isolated case and is confident he will be able to rely on players in the next few years of his stay in Liverpoolsuch as Firmino, Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane, who will be the backbone of the team. The first to re-sign is Firmino, and the negotiations for his new contract will start shortly, says Telegraph. See all sport news - click here to read all |
