29.11.2017 Ten from Wolfsburg did not stand against Augsburg

The Augsburg team defeated Wolfsburg 2-1 in their 13th round of the Bundesliga. This was the end of the series of 8 consecutive wins without loss for the Wolves. The hosts first got a goal in their door but managed to make a complete turn. The hosts simply did not hold out after they had to play with a man less than 11 minutes when Maximilian Arnold was driven out of play. The situation for the red card was, however, quite debatable. At the 8th minute, Arnold detained Alfred Finbogson and Judge Tobias Styler drew a yellow card at the first minute. But then he decided to change his mind and showed a direct red card to the Wolfsburg footballer. Even with someone less, the Wolves first discovered the result. This happened in the 40th minute when Daniel Didawi fired at land from a distance, goalkeeper Marvin Hitzs acted relentlessly and could not catch the easy ball rolling behind him. But Augsburg pressed in the second half and took his own. In the 51st minute Michael Gregoric was found in the penalty area, freeing his space and close to 1:1.

In the 78th minute there was a complete turnaround. Philippe Max moved sharply in front of the goalkeeper`s field where Finbogason was ahead of his direct guard and scored for 2:1. Thus, Augsburg collected an asset of 19 points and went up to eighth in the standings. Wolfsburg remains 13th with 14 points.
