14.02.2016 Laporte is open to Barcelona, but he has not received an offer

The defender of Athletic Bilbao, Aymerik Laporte, denied that he has rejected an offer from Barcelona. He admitted that he would think seriously if he gets a quote from the Catalonian Club because it's the best team in the world. The defender, however, has not received a proposal from the Blaugranas.
'I haven't received an offer from Barcelona to reject it. I have never said I rejected the offer from Barcelona and that I would not play for the Catalans. I didn't receive any offer either now or in January last year.', said Laporte.
'The only thing I said is that you first need to get a quote and then you will think about whether or not to accept it. When there is something specific, I'll take a decision.', added the defender.
'I can't reject the idea in advance to play for Barcelona because it is the best team in the world. It would be a great stupidity to talk about such things.', said Aymerik Laporte.
The defender debuted for the Basques in 2012 as a teenager.
The Frenchman has a contract with the club till the summer of 2018 and liberating clause in it is worth 42 million euros.
