Ferguson: Owen was fantastic | | |
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson remained impressed by the endless play of Michael Owen. "Red Devils" would Leeds 3-0 in a match of the tournament "Carling Cup", a legendary striker scored two goals.
This prompted Ferguson to speak very kindly of the qualities of Owen, who often like Dimitar Berbatov, left on the bench.
"The effectiveness of Owen is fantastic. His second goal of the match did was great. In competition with strikers like Berbatov, Rooney and Hernandez, he may not get enough opportunities to express themselves. This is a very unpleasant situation for him, but I am glad he is with us and I can always count on his services, "said Ferguson.
He was pleased by the performance of young players to give a chance in the game.
