The stadium, which will meet the summer Olympics in the British capital London, is now fully ready. Today an official ceremony was set and the last sod of grass facility. The construction of the stadium with 80,000 seats under this plan ended, exactly 16 months before the Olympics.
"The most important thing for us is that the facility was completed on schedule and according to the planned budget," commented the English olipiyski Committee.
After the Games the capacity of the facility will be reduced to 60,000 seats. The stadium will be used for football matches, athletics competitions, concerts and other community events.
As is known, the facility-jewel will be the new home of the Metropolitan West Ham United after 2 years.
