News - The Executive Director of Chelsea is leaving
Chelsea announced that their CEO Ron Gourlay leave his post. The Scot, who earlier in his career worked for Manchester United and the sports brand "Umbro" is leaving by mutual agreement, to seek new challenge. "Chelsea Football Club announced that Ron Gourlay - after 10 successful years at the club, including five as CEO - is leaving Chelsea to pursue new business opportunities," reads the announcement of the club website. Gourlay join the "blue" in 2004 and began as an operating officer before to succeed Peter Kenyon as CEO five years later. He had a major role in the return of Jose Mourinho's team in London, and also secured a contract with "adidas" worth 300 million pounds for a period of 10 years.
